Teacher professional competence is one of the 4 types of teacher competence. The four teacher competencies include pedagogical competence, social competence, professional competence, and personality competence. From the results of observations made by researchers which found problems in schools that are less interested students in learning economics. They assume that economics is too difficult to learn due to the way teachers teach making students sleepy in learning, this study aims to determine the effect of teacher professional competence on student learning outcomes in economic subjects.
The sample in this study was class XI IPA, amounting to 30 students, This type of research is quantitative research. The sampling technique uses nonprobabiliti sampling namely cluster sampling technique. Data collection method is done by giving questionnaires to class XI A.
The instruments used in this study were questionnaires and documentation. In this study also the researchers did not do the validation test and the test of reliability because the researchers took a questionnaire from previous researchers who had validated it. The data analysis technique used in this study is the normality test and linearity test as a conditional analysis test, then the hypothesis test uses the regression test.
